Welcome!
I'm glad you found your way here. You deserve an extraordinary life.
About Me
Hello and Welcome
I am Chevon Cawood. I don’t think that there is a right or a wrong way to be a human. I know that life can be difficult and very hard sometimes and I don’t believe that you have to do it alone.
The long and winding road that led me to becoming a psychologist
Embarking on the fascinating journey of psychology has been both a professional and deeply personal odyssey. It all started in 2003 with a degree in Social Work, and my initial plan was to seamlessly weave work and part-time psychology studies. However, the reality of that challenge hit me at 21, a time when I was still navigating the uncertainties of self-discovery. Over the next six years, I wholeheartedly embraced diverse professional experiences—admin, marketing, sales, banqueting, and recruitment—culminating in an unexpected adventure within the hospitality industry, including a stint aboard cruise ships in America.
This unconventional route became my own version of the 'University of Life,' shaping not only my professional outlook but also my personal identity. In 2010, fuelled by a newfound passion for psychology, I returned to academia and earned my psychology degree from Northwest University, South Africa.
I have been running my private practice since 2016 and in 2024 I made the bold decision to take the practice exclusively online. This shift allows me to transcend geographical limitations and embrace a modern, accessible approach to therapy. I'm thrilled to welcome you to my virtual space where the pursuit of mental well-being meets the freedom of a digital nomad lifestyle. I am in a new country every 3 to 6 months and I invite you to join me in this innovative space where the intersection of technology and psychological support opens doors to transformative experiences, regardless of physical location. I look forward to being part of your journey towards a healthier, happier you.

The way I like to work
As a psychologist, my mission is to empower humans to navigate challenging situations, improve their mental well-being, and achieve personal growth. I strongly believe that every person deserves the opportunity to lead a happy, balanced, and extraordinary life. I have a passion for helping humans overcome difficulties and create meaningful, fulfilling lives. I take pride in fostering a safe and supportive environment for my clients.
My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from various evidence-based modalities such as existential therapy, psychodynamic therapy, person centred therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and mindfulness to name a few. I tailor my treatment plans to address the unique needs and goals of each client, ensuring that the therapy process is both effective and personalised.
